Christopher Anderson – Polish premiere of INDEX and artist talk
Book premiere & artist talk
23.04.2026, 19:00

The latest publication from London-based publisher Stanley/Baker is a nine-volume set presenting the extraordinary breadth of Christopher Anderson’s photographic work – from his early career as a photojournalist covering 9/11, Afghanistan, and the second Gulf War, to the deeply affecting story from Haiti, where Anderson boarded a wooden boat alongside migrants attempting to reach the United States. As the boat began to sink, the life-threatening experience profoundly changed his approach to photography, and the resulting work earned him the Robert Capa Gold Medal.
The publication also includes projects focused on places he has called home – such as France and New York – as well as locations that have had a lasting impact on him, including China.
Christopher Anderson – one of the most widely published photographers of his generation, a Photographer in Residence for New York Magazine, former member of Magnum Photos, and author of a widely discussed White House shoot for Vanity Fair – will talk about his practice and the process of making his latest book. He will be joined by Marion Durand, exhibition curator, subject of three of Anderson’s projects, and his life partner.
