February 2024 marks two years since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, although the war there has been going on for almost a decade.

We have gained uninterrupted access to images of this conflict, the most highly-covered by media in history, thanks to social media, civic and professional news channels, and a growing body of vernacular records devoted to war crimes. “Ukraine. Stories of Resistance” is a small fragment of this testimony. The exhibition collects images of various forms of resistance, from direct warfare to grassroots social movements in Ukraine and abroad. Refugee reports, protests, self-organization, frontline fatigue, and the devastated Ukrainian landscape remind us of the brutal conflict that has been going on next to Poland’s eastern border for two years.
